Forest Service Air Quality Monitors: Data Processing and Attribution

The United States Forest Service (USFS) monitors urban forest to assess and predict changes in the urban forest resource over time. USFS has data from a series of air quality monitors from a citizen science network. These PurpleAir monitors are primarily in private residences and measured particulate matter from 2017-2020 at various temporal resolutions for several areas in California. There are approximately 3,319 monitors in California, including roughly 51 monitors in Los Angeles County. USFS would like to associate additional information with the monitors. The attributes include socioeconomic, environmental, tree/land cover, and environmental justice data.
