Brief Biography
Shirley Svorny is Professor of Economics Emeritus at California State University, Northridge. She earned her Ph.D. in economics from UCLA. She is an expert on the regulation of health care professionals. She has a strong interest in public policy and regulation in general. She served as Chair of the Department of Economics for six years. She founded the San Fernando Valley Economic Research Center at CSUN and served as its director for four years.
