Tonia Guida earned her Ph.D. in the School of Education and Information Studies, in the Social Science Comparative Education program (Race and Ethnicity concentration) at UCLA and she also holds a master’s degree in Higher Education Administration from The University of Texas at Austin. She has spent five years working in student support programs like the Ronald E. McNair Research Program. In 2016, she pursued a J. William Fulbright English Teaching Fellowship in São Paulo, Brazil. Her current research explores and theorizes about whiteness and white undergraduate women in higher education with a particular focus on race, gender, and space.
