Brief Biography
Vanessa Hernandez is a proud California State University, Northridge alumna, professional staff member in the Office of Student Success, and lecturer for UNIV 100: The Freshman Seminar. As a first-generation college graduate, she is passionate about helping students successfully transition into college while building confidence, community, and a strong sense of belonging at CSUN. Her classes are student-centered, interactive, and focused on helping students develop the skills, connections, and support systems needed to thrive both academically and personally. Vanessa is committed to creating an inclusive classroom environment where students feel supported, valued, and empowered throughout their first-year experience.
