Brief Biography
Professor Covrig's primary research interests are in business valuation and international finance. He has published in several journals, including the Journal of Finance, Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis, Journal of Banking and Finance, Journal of Empirical Finance, Journal of Futures Markets, among others. He is a member of the academic board of the Business Valuation Review, and recent research has focused on the valuation of complex corporate securities and the determination of the financial metric (i.e., revenues, profits) volatility needed as input to the models. He has made numerous presentations at academic and practitioner conferences, including the American Finance Association, Western Finance Association, American Society of Appraisers National Conference as well as taught in professional programs in Singapore, Los Angeles, New York, and Chicago. He is also a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).
