Victoria joined the Child and Adolescent Development Department as a part-time lecturer in August 2021. In 2023, she also joined the Academic First Year Experiences team to teach Univesity 100. Victoria is an LA native and the daughter of immigrants from Mexico and Honduras.

Before teaching at CSUN, Victoria worked as a program manager at a community-based organization in the South Bronx that partners with Mexican, Central American, and Indigenous immigrant families to build power and transform their communities through education and civic engagement. She previously worked as a case manager for a legal services nonprofit in New York City that supports migrant youth to navigate the complicated immigration system and connect to social services in their communities.

In May 2018, Victoria earned an M.A. in International Educational Development with a concentration in Latin American and Latinx Education from Teachers College, Columbia University. She also earned a B.A. in International Development Studies from UCLA and minored in Education and Chicanx Studies.
