Language Development in Bilingual Children

One thing that inspires me to do my research is...

the prospect of inspiring parents to raise bilingual children.

How has your personal background influenced your work at CSUN?

The encouragement of my undergraduate mentors was key in motivating me to pursue an academic career, even after my graduation from college. I try to do the same for my students, no matter what careers they decide to pursue.
