Brief Biography
Dr. Frankline (Frankie) Augustin, MSHA, is a 2022-2023 American College of Education (ACE) Fellow and an award-winning Full Professor in the Health Administration Program at California State University, Northridge (CSUN). She has served as Special Assistant to the Dean of the College of Health and Human Development and currently serves as an Equity Faculty Affiliate for the Office of the Provost and the Office of Student Success. Dr. Augustin's research interests include cultural humility, workplace readiness, and investigating strategies that improve racial diversity in the healthcare workforce. She has facilitated cultural competence, cultural humility and racial equity seminars and workplace readiness trainings for a variety of groups such as the University of Findlay Ohio, School of Pharmacy, Diversity Grand Rounds; and for ZOE International. In addition, Dr. Augustin has 8 years of governance experience, having served as Governing Board Director and completed a 2-year term as Program Board Chair for Meet Each Need with Dignity (MEND Poverty), a nonprofit that serves lowest income families & individuals in the San Fernando Valley, meeting their most immediate basic needs and helping them build resources and skills to address and overcome long-term poverty. Currently, she serves Tarzana Treatment Centers as an Advisory Board Subcommittee Member for Culturally Relevant Practices.
