Brief Biography
Dr. Qais Amarkhil is an Assistant Professor at California State University, Northridge. He began his career in civil engineering in 2009 after graduating with a BS degree in civil engineering. From 2009 to 2013, he worked in the construction industry as a civil engineer. He later joined academia at his alma mater, where he taught until 2017.
Dr. Amarkhil is a Fulbright and Rotary International Scholar who completed his master's and Ph.D. in construction management technology at Purdue University West Lafayette, USA. His research interests include project and organizational performance, project planning techniques improvement, and construction operation modeling and simulation. Integrating construction management practices with advanced and emerging technologies to mitigate project delay and enhance productivity, sustainability, and workplace safety in construction, with numerous articles published in peer-reviewed journals.
