Dr. Sakile Camara is a Full Professor of Communication Studies at California State University Northridge (CSUN). She specializes in the intricate relationship between communication and culture through qualitative methodologies such as phenomenology. Currently, she serves as the Director of Academic Assessment and Program Review. Her research delves into identity-related challenges, with her latest work focusing on institutional-led assessment as a shared responsibility on college campuses.

Dr. Camara recently received the High Impact Innovation Award at CSUN. She is also the chair and founder of the National Assessment Week Committee (https://nationalassessmentweek.org) and the designer of DEI-RAM (https://deireadiness.com), an open-source platform for understanding employee perceptions of diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives.
