The purpose of this grant is to expand and develop teacher leadership to improve the teaching of writing and learning in the nation?s schools. The goal of this funding is to provide new learning opportunities for a minimum of 20 teachers over the course of the two-year grant. The teachers can be teachers new to the Writing Project and/or existing teacher-consultants participating in programs that expand their capacities and support their effectiveness.
