California State University, Northridge (CSUN) proposes to provide Upward Bound Project services to at least 64 participants annually, focusing its support on students enrolled in two area high schools. At least 2/3 of the participants will be both low-income and first- generation. The two target schools (Reseda Senior High and Birmingham Community High) are located close to the CSUN campus in north Los Angeles County and have a combined enrollment of 4,715 students. Both high schools have high percentages of low income, first generation students.
