One thing that inspires me to do my research is...

wanting to understand people through processes.

How has your personal background influenced your work at CSUN?

Growing up as an athlete, I always wanted to understand the mental side of sports and physical activity. I always knew it was really important and influential to performance and I now strive to understand it more so that I can help people and athletes better their "mental game."

Why do you like to work here?

I really appreciate the diversity of the students and the autonomy to be able to "create your own path" here (versus being at an R1, where its only about research and publishing).
