This request seeks funds to enhance and update vital equipment and teaching technologies across four departments of the Mike Curb College educating the next generation of creatives in cinema and television, animation and illustration, music production and recording, and broadcast journalism. With industry-standard tools and platforms, professors will ensure that their students enter entertainment and media industry careers conversant and adept in contemporary and forward-focused technologies. The project further seeks professional development funds to optimize faculty knowledge and training in new technologies, marketing funds to externally promote the work of student creatives, and event funds for summer workshops inviting regional high school students to immerse themselves in media creation.
